Menu Icon Hider Privacy Policy
Menu Icon Hider works entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.
Effective date:
1. Summary
- No account system, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or tracking.
- No developer-operated network service.
- No Accessibility, Screen Recording, Automation, or file-access permission.
- Settings and local usage flags stay in the app's private preferences container.
2. Information collected
Menu Icon Hider does not automatically collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, location, menu bar contents, or usage activity. Joletory does not operate a backend that receives information from the app.
3. Data stored on your Mac
The app stores preferences and local usage flags in its private UserDefaults container. These can include behavior settings, a chosen global shortcut, whether onboarding is complete, and the last visibility state. This information is not sent to Joletory.
4. Menu bar access
Menu Icon Hider uses standard macOS status items and manual Command-drag arrangement. It does not enumerate, inspect, read, or automate menu bar items owned by other apps. It does not request Accessibility, Screen Recording, Input Monitoring, Apple Events, or file access.
5. Optional tips
If you choose to leave an optional tip, Apple processes the purchase through the App Store and StoreKit under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Tips do not unlock features, create an account, or create a restorable entitlement.
6. Information you choose to send
If you email Joletory for support, Joletory receives your email address, message, and anything you intentionally attach. Do not send a screenshot that contains private menu bar information unless you intentionally choose to share it for support.

7. Changes to this policy
Joletory may update this policy if Menu Icon Hider's features or data practices change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
