Scrolloom product policy

Scrolloom Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Scrolloom iOS application, a product developed and published by Joletory. Other Joletory products and services may have separate privacy policies reflecting their individual data-handling practices.

Effective date:

1. Scope of this policy

This policy describes how the Scrolloom application handles information when you create a long image from a downward screen recording or from existing screenshots. It does not describe the practices of other Joletory products, the Joletory website, Apple, or an application whose content you choose to capture.

The separate Joletory Website Privacy Policy explains how joletory.com handles website visitors and support emails.

2. Information collected

Scrolloom does not require or create an account. The application does not automatically collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, or device identifiers. It does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs, track you across applications or websites, sell or rent personal information, or use screen content to train artificial-intelligence models.

Scrolloom does not upload recordings, selected screenshots, or completed images to Joletory. Joletory does not operate a backend that receives or processes your screen content.

Support is your choice. If you email Joletory, Joletory receives your email address, message, and anything you intentionally attach. Scrolloom's feedback email may prefill the app version, build number, and iOS version so support can understand the environment. The email is not sent until you choose to send it.

3. Screen recordings

Scroll Capture uses Apple's ReplayKit broadcast controls to record the visible screen while you scroll. The Scrolloom broadcast extension accepts video frames only, and the microphone control is disabled. Scrolloom records no microphone audio during Scroll Capture.

The recording is stored locally in Scrolloom's app-group container and processed on the iPhone to extract frames and find overlaps. It is not transmitted to Joletory. A successfully processed recording is deleted after frame extraction. Apple and the source application may prevent protected content from appearing in a screen recording.

4. Existing screenshots

When you choose to combine existing screenshots, Apple's photo picker gives Scrolloom access only to the images you select. The selected images are copied into temporary local working files, processed on the iPhone, and are not uploaded to Joletory. Scrolloom does not receive access to unrelated photos through the picker.

5. Saving to Photos

Scrolloom requests add-only Photos permission when you choose Save. This permission lets Scrolloom add the completed PNG to your photo library; it does not give the application broad read access to the library. A saved image remains in Photos until you delete it using Apple's Photos app.

6. Sharing

When you choose Share, Scrolloom presents Apple's system share sheet. You decide whether to send the completed image and which application, person, or service receives it. Joletory does not receive a copy merely because you opened or used the share sheet. A destination you select handles the image under its own privacy practices.

7. On-device diagnostics

Scrolloom keeps limited technical events in the application's local storage to help diagnose processing quality and failures. These events can include operation names, timestamps, counts, duration measurements, correction actions, outcome ratings, and numeric failure codes. They do not include recordings, screenshots, completed images, names, email addresses, contacts, location, or device identifiers.

Diagnostic events are not automatically transmitted to Joletory. Development builds may provide a diagnostic export; Joletory receives it only when a tester intentionally chooses to share it. Normal support email does not automatically attach the diagnostic log or any screen content.

8. Data retention and deletion

Scrolloom does not maintain user accounts or server-side copies of screen recordings, screenshots, or completed images. Temporary working files are stored locally only as needed for processing and recovery. Successful recordings are deleted after frame extraction. Abandoned sessions and imported working files are automatically cleaned up after approximately 24 hours.

Choosing Start Over removes the current session's working images and temporary export from Scrolloom. Deleting the app removes information stored inside its app containers, including local diagnostic events, subject to Apple's device and backup behavior. Images you saved to Photos or sent to another service must be deleted separately from those locations.

9. Children's privacy

Scrolloom is not designed to request personal information from children and does not provide accounts or social features. Screen content remains on the device unless a user intentionally saves or shares it. If a parent or guardian believes a child sent personal information to Joletory through a support email, contact Joletory so the request can be reviewed.

10. Security

Keeping screen content on the iPhone reduces the need to transmit sensitive material. Scrolloom uses Apple's application sandbox, app-group storage for its broadcast extension, and system permission controls. No device, software, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so review captured content before saving or sharing it.

11. Apple system services

Scrolloom relies on Apple services such as ReplayKit, the Photos picker, add-only Photos access, local notifications, and the system share sheet. Apple controls permission prompts, screen-recording indicators, protected-content behavior, notification delivery, and sharing destinations. Apple's handling of those services is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

Joletory may update this policy if Scrolloom's features or data practices change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Any new collection or transmission practice will be described before it is enabled when appropriate.
